Beautiful little birdhouse

How do you like this adorable little bird house I made today? I followed a You Tube tutorial called 'Welcome Birdhouse' and followed the link from there to mychicnscratch.com to download the template. It's a Stampin' Up design.

I used Stampin' Up Calypso Coral card and matching designer series paper.

I don't have the small circle punch recommended on the tutorial for making the hole in the front of the birdhouse, so instead I used the smallest sized heart die from my Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Hearts set. I therefore decided to use the Stampin' Up pinking hearts border punch to add a bit of detail to the shingles on the roof and keep the heart theme going.

I also don't have the Itty bitty shapes punch pack that was recommended for making tiny flowers for the front, so I used the Stampin' Up Boho Blossoms punch instead to create my flowers. I used some bling in the middle of each flower and then added the bow to the roof to finish.

I'm thinking that these would be really cute as Christmas decorations if Christmas paper was used and white glitter used on the tips of the shingles as 'snow'. Maybe I'll give it a go and let you know the outcome!

Fabric banner & card for Grace

I made this fabric banner for my friends new baby (Grace) using the Stampin' Up banner die and some lovely fabric I picked up in Spotlight. I made the roses from felt using a Die-namics die. The blue ribbon is from Stampin' Up, the colour is Baja Breeze. I hand cut the letters from felt and ironed them on using some special adhesive backing.

I made a card to go with it using the Die-namics Banner day die.

Kaiser craft Mini Chest of drawers project

This weekend I made my first Kaiser craft project. I think it turned out really well for a first attempt, although I learned a lot and the next one I make should be quicker and easier to complete. Its the mini set of drawers and so its really quite dainty.

I used Kaisercolour paint in Spearmint to paint the sides and the shelves, as well as the insides of the drawers to give a nice well finished look. I used papers from Kaisers 'These days' and 'Charlotte's Dream' collections. Aren't they gorgeous? So feminine and delicate.

I covered each drawer with paper, as well as the top, bottom, sides and back of the chest. I embellished the top with flowers, an accent made using the Die-namics Fancy Flourish die, and pearls.

I also added some pearls to the chair image on the back of the chest to create a bit of extra detail. I found a couple of lovely cardboard buttons that nicely accented the middle drawer.

I really love the colour scheme and the end result!

Totally gorjuss 'charmed' challenge

I made this card using a Lili Of The Valley stamp. I just love the cute little boy sitting there patiently on the riverbank. I was so happy to find the fish charm to embellish it with.

Teddy time

This cute Teddy stamp is from Lili Of The Valley, based in Leeds, England. I have recently discovered their wonderful stamps and have totally fallen in love with them. I will be posting more pictures of cards I have made using their stamps really soon. Used Copics for colouring. The design is simple, but I like it.

Treat time

I made this box of yummy treats for a good friends birthday. I used Stampin' Up card in Wild Wasabi and the patterned paper which includes Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip colours. The treats are made using coconut, dried apricots, LSA, honey & peanut butter. They are delicious!

More Gorjuss cards!

I made these cards using another beautiful stamp from Gorjuss. I just love these girls!
I tried using my sewing machine to stitch a border on this first card. I need a bit more practice getting it even, but I like the effect and want to try more stitching on cards I make in the future. The image is coloured using my trusty Copic markers, the card is Stampin' Up Kraft with Calypso Coral and matching designer series paper. The sparkly embellishments are from Kaiser craft.

I loved the way the colour combo worked out on this next card, and for once my bow turned out perfectly!

Magnolia Mermaid Tilda Card

I made this lovely card using the Magnolia's Mermaid Tilda stamp. I used the sparkly rick rack because it reminded me of seaweed, and then I found some lovely aqua coloured card to use as a mount. I put a small amount of glitter on Tilda's body, but it doesn't show in the photo. The shell stamps are from a Stampin' Up set that I have had for a few years. All images were coloured using Copics.

I loved the finished result!

Banner for Harry

Another banner made using the Stampin' Up banner die. I love this colour combo and the lovely paper with the beach huts and the funky cars.
